A choir built for the music its own city is making
The Brooklyn Choir Project isn't a choir that sings the standards. Founded in 2024 by Jaren Feeley, with producer and arts manager Josh Davidoff, it exists to do one specific thing: write and perform brand-new choral arrangements of songs by the Brooklyn indie and underground songwriters already in the room — alt-folk, Indian classical, West African art rock, and everything in between.

From 26 singers to 88, in under two years
The choir's inaugural session in November 2024 drew 26 singers. By August 2025 it was more than 60. By July 2026, 85. Today it's 88 voices, with auditions still open — growth driven by word of mouth and the strength of what's being performed, not by paid marketing.
What it's already done
The choir rehearses on Monday evenings in residency at the First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn Heights, and has already sold out multiple concerts, including a two-night run on December 5–6, 2025. In July 2026 it recorded a new collaboration with Tōth on "Easy." Featured artists and collaborators include Taylor Ashton, Arone Dyer of Buke and Gase, Anand Wilder, Lutalo, and John Roseboro. The project has been featured on WNYC's All Of It and in KLOF Mag, and is supported by the Brooklyn Arts Council.

This isn't a fledgling group trying to prove it can sing — it's a choir that has already sold out shows, earned national press, and more than tripled in size in under two years. Pledging here isn't charity for a beginner project; it's backing a track record you can already see and hear, at the moment it's ready to grow.
